Pergamum “the compromising church”they have suffered and remained faithful; now they are tolerating false teachings; it is time to repent and get back to the truth

Thyatira “the corrupted church”they have been growing and improving in Christian living; however they have allowed a false prophet to lead people astray “Jezebel”; get rid of the evil and stand firm

Sardis “the dying church”they have a good reputation but it is all show; they are sleep walking their way toward death; there are a few who are faithful but the rest better heed the warning

Philadelphia “the faithful church”though weak they have remained faithful and will be victorious over their enemies as well as being protected from even more difficult times

Laodicea “the lukewarm church”no praise from Jesus; “I’m giving you a last chance to repent”; Jesus says He has taken a stand and is knocking at the door so it is time for the church to either stand with Jesus or be swept away
